La cucina è da sempre un ambiente della casa molto importate che costituisce quel guscio in cui spesso la famiglia si riunisce. Nello scenario frammentato e frenetico che si impone nel XXI secolo, questa diventa una parte sempre più nascosta poichè non vi è più bisogno della cucina “tradizionale”. Oggi, infatti, si lavora in casa e si abita in ufficio e la cucina diventa uno spazio “rubato” ad un ipotetico piano di lavoro.

 

Muovendo da questi requisiti si è scelto di celare le componenti tecniche e funzionali del nostro sistema cucina, non solo per la semplice volontà di eliderle per ragioni estetiche, ma anche in seguito alla necessità di sfruttare tutti gli spazi per lavorare, scrivere o disegnare. Table pad consente infatti di appoggiarsi e fruire di tutte le zone coperte da quelli che sembrano veri e propri mouse-pad, ormai simbolo della realtà tecnologica di cui siamo protagonisti. Colorati, resistenti e mobili i nostri pad consentono di vivere a 360° il “tavolo-cucina”, senza però vincolarne le possibilità di inserimento in una qual si voglia ambientazione. Dunque, uno spazio in cui è possibile mediare tra lavoro e relax.

 

Infine, è stato scelto il Corian come materiale principale perchè igienico, anti-macchia, resistente ed elegante allo stesso tempo.

The kitchen has always been a very important area of the house,representing the shell where the family often gathers. In the fragmented and hectic scenario which imposed on the twenty-first century, the "traditional" kitchen is no longer needed and this space becomes more and more a hidden part of the house. Actually, nowadays we work at home and live at the office turning the kitchen in an area "stolen" from what could possibly be a working space.

 

Starting from these requirements we have decided to conceal the technical and functional components of our kitchen system, not only for aesthetic reasons, but also due to the necessity of using every surface to work, write or draw. Table pad allows to lean on and use every surface covered by what looks like a mouse-pad. Colourful, durable and movable, our pad allows a 360° use of the “table-kitchen”, without excluding the possibility of integrating it into the environment. It therefore is a space in which one can conciliate work and relax.

 

Finally, we have chosen as main material the Corian being hygienic, stain-resistant, durable and elegant at the same time.
